Developing teachers into skilled wilderness instructors.

Empowering teachers to lead.

Our commitment doesn’t end when your students are safely returned at the end of their Discover Outdoors trip. In fact, that’s really just the beginning. We’re committed to helping you build better classrooms for the long haul. We want to empower you to create a legacy of leadership, fitness, and academic preparedness in your school.

And, really, should the kids get to have all the fun?

From the first day we begin partnering with your school, we provide training for teachers that is specifically focused on working with your students in an outdoor setting. You’ll learn first aid, wilderness survival, team building, and more. And you’ll always be back-stopped by on-going, on- and off-site support from our highly experienced and super-friendly Discover Outdoors guides.

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a wilderness guide yourself — or even wondered what that would be like — we’d love to help you make that happen. We are constantly seeking excellent educators who are interested in joining our first-class team of professional guides at Discover Outdoors during weekends and holiday breaks.

Together, we can maximize exploration and personal growth for students and teachers alike.

Quality teachers who pursue our training program not only advance their students through experiential learning, they also access a full range of professional development that their schools can support. If you’d like to learn more, please email us.
